Report: Browns WR Dwayne Bowe to Be Inactive Today Vs. Jets

As the Browns prepare to take on the New York Jets in their opener at 1pm today, it appears they will do it without the services of their big free agent wide out pick up from the offseason, Dwayne Bowe.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport stated this morning on twitter that Bowe will be INACTIVE for today’s game. He is currently listed as a third-string wide out on the club’s depth chart.

There were rumors before the final preseason game against the Bears that Bowe might not even make the roster, but he did finally play in that last preseason game and after the game coach Mike Pettine said the wide out was in no danger of not making the team.

Now with this turn of events, you have to wonder what the future holds for Bowe when it comes to being a member of the Brown and Orange.
