The Browns are making a roster move at the tight end spot, as reports say that the team is releasing tight end Darren Fells.
#Browns are releasing TE Darren Fells, source says. They were shopping him, as @ProFootballTalk said last night. Not a deep TE class in FA so should get some solid interest.

The release of Fells is interesting from the standpoint he lasted just one season in Cleveland after the Browns inked him to a three-year contract as an unrestricted free agent last offseason.
While he is known mostly as a blocking tight end, he had a solid 2018 in the Browns offense, catching eight of nine passes that were thrown to him, and the highlight of his three touchdowns was a 49-yard TD in Baker Mayfield’s first NFL start against the Oakland Raiders in week four in Oakland.
This upcoming season Fells was due to make $2.65 million, and once the move is official, the Browns will have to carry $1.4 million in dead money from his contract.
The 32-year-old mostly blocking tight end and has 68 catches in his five-year NFL career.
