The ongoing issue between the Browns and CB K’Waun Williams came to a head on Tuesday night, as the team has suspended him for two weeks after he wasn’t with the at their preseason game on Friday night in Green Bay.
Head coach Hue Jackson was asked about Williams toady and his status, to which the coach did not give much information.
“We’ll talk about that at a different time,” Jackson said. “I just think there are a lot of mixed messages that are going on as far as all that’s concerned. I think we’ll deal with it, and I’m sure we’ll all talk about it at the appropriate time.”

Monday Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot reported that Williams was waiting for another opinion on his ankle and was expected to be back with the team soon.
Browns nickelback K’Waun Williams is waiting for a second opinion on his ankle, but is expected back with the team soon, a league source told cleveland.com.
Williams, who’s been in a battle with Jamar Taylor for the starting nickelback job, did not attend the Browns preseason opener in Green Bay Friday night and has missed the last two days of practice here. The club announced it was for a personal reason and has declined to elaborate.
Last season Williams played in 13 games and started six, and it will be interesting to see how this first saga under Jackson plays out and if the nickel back is even on the team when the Browns kickoff on September 11th.
