1998
Despite a botched Hulk Hogan vs The Ultimate Warrior rematch that will go down as one of the worst matches in the modern era, the rest of the card was rock solid. People who crucify this show calling it one of the worst ever because of one match, are being totally unreasonable.
Several matches were excellent, including Raven versus Chris Jericho. Even Disco Inferno taking on Juventud Guerra was surprisingly well done. The breakup match featuring Scott Hall and Kevin Knash combined drama with excellent story telling as well. The main event as Goldberg defended his belt and streak against DDP was perfectly done and easily the best match of Goldberg’s entire career. A solid card worth watching again and again despite the bomb with Hogan and Warrior.
1999
This was Vince Russo at his finest, and his worst. A chaotic card that had they 10 matches with only 3 going into double digit minutes, and one bizarre twist after the other. For reasons still not explained, Hulk Hogan was told to lay down for Sting in the World Title match, allowing himself to be pinned. Sting was pissed off and challenged anyone in the locker room to a fight. This led to Goldberg coming out and squashing the champ in three minutes. This was during the ill-advised run of Sting as a heel. It would last less than 60 days as it clearly wasn’t going to work. Goldberg would be stripped of the title one night later because it wasn’t a title match, but rather a “fight”

There is a reason this was the last Havoc ever, and the company shut its doors months later. Your main event this evening was Goldberg vs Crush and Atom Bomb…………….
