CLEVELAND, Ohio – On a soggy Wednesday night, the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds played their third game of four for the Ohio Cup. This was the first game out of two that will be played in Cleveland, Cincinnati hosting the previous two Monday and Tuesday.
Entering tonight’s game the Cincinnati Reds sat at 21-24 and the Cleveland Indians had a record of 24-20.
The Reds and Indians split the first two games of the series at Great American Ball Park.
On Monday, the Reds defeated the Indians by a score of 5-1. On Tuesday, the Indians came away with the victory, the final score was 8-7.
After a 2 hour and 1-minute rain delay, play resumed at 9:50 P.M. EST. Going into the rain delay, the Indians were leading 3-2 over the Reds.
With the Indians 4-3 loss, the team falls to 24-21 on the year and the Reds improve to 22-24.
The Indians will be looking to split the Ohio Cup tomorrow.
