Preview: Pressure on the Indians as Carrasco Looks to Help Tribe Even Up the ALDS in Houston

1. Early Success Against Cole

The Indians looked all out of wack on Friday as Justin Verlander dominated them to the tune of allowing just one base runner (a Jose Ramirez walk) in the first inning through the first five frames.

If the Indians are going to win against the Astros in game two, they HAVE to have better early at bats, and it has to be from the top of the lineup which was the bread and butter of the team in 2018.

Francisco Lindor, Michael Brantley and Jose Ramriez have to come through, even just drawing walks would be a good thing for this threesome to get some momentum early.

Cole put up 12.4 strikeouts per nine innings this year, so he’ll go after Indians hitters, but they can’t chase and have to be patient and have good at bats.
