Injury-riddled rosters
Not only have these two teams overhauled their rosters, but they have also adjusted their rotations due to injuries. Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, Cedi Osman, Hood, Josh Hart and Ingram are out for the primetime affair, all of whom have started this year. Kyle Korver is questionable with a bruised right foot, making it difficult to predict how head coach Tyronn Lue will allot the playing time amongst his shorthanded team.
Lue announced that Jeff Green will get the nod at small forward, while Walton has promoted Kuzma to his starting five since Ingram suffered a left groin strain earlier in the week. Also of note, Los Angeles inked former Cavalier Derrick Williams to a 10-day contract on Saturday, bolstering its depth beyond the arc.
Finding chemistry with these players will be a priority, as Green last started on Feb. 15, 2017, and Williams has not played an NBA game since Game 4 of the 2017 NBA Finals. Furthermore, Ball just came back from a sprained MCL on Feb. 26.
Simply put, there are a ton of moving parts for both of these organizations.
