1. Kluber on the hill
Indians starter Corey Kluber will be making his last start of 2018 regular season before starting game one of the ALDS game one against Astros.
Kluber last starts was against the Chicago White Sox when he pitched seven innings striking out 11 batters. In last 11 starts, Kluber holds a 8-1 record.
Right-handed is 3-1 against the Royals this year.
Also, first Indians right-handed pitcher to win 20 games since Gaylord Perry (1974)
2. Junis looking to end the season on a high note
Royals starter Jakob Junis will be making his start against the Indians today. In 2018 season, Junis is 1-2 against the Tribe with a 6.00 ERA. In his last start against Cleveland, he pitched seven scoreless innings in a 5-1 win.
Despite his numbers being at 8-12 of the year, Junis can get to you at any moment during at-bats.
3. Keep the bats going
Last night, the Tribe pounded the Royals all because of their bats to reach 90 win mark. It’s good to see the middle of the lineup getting on the board and this will be important to see during the postseason.
