Jose Ramirez might be the hottest player in baseball, as he’s has an incredible rally from a tough first two weeks of the season to already have 17 homers at the end of May with still one day left in the month.
Ramirez’s 17 homers are the most for an Indians player since 1996 when Albert Belle did it, and all he did that year was hit 48 homers and drive in 148 runs.
Since April 20th when Ramirez was hitting .188, he’s raise his batting average .112 points since then in just 34 games, a tremendous feat.
Ramirez enters Thursday’s game with 17 homers, 40 runs batted in and 17 doubles. He’s been a huge force at the top of the Indians lineup this season.
