1. Can Bauer Wrap Up the First Half with a Flurry?
Trevor Bauer has been sensational this season, throwing 129.1 innings allowing 33 earned runs while walking 41 and striking out 168.
In his last start Bauer had a great start in the game that ended up being a disaster for the Tribe.
He went eight shutout innings, allowing just three hits against the Reds as the Tribe built a 4-0 lead heading into the 9th inning.
That’s when Cody Allen allowed three runs, and then the infamous OT/OP mistake took place, as Dan Otero came in with the bases loaded and allowed a bases clearing double to Joey Votto to lose the game 7-4.
Nevertheless, Bauer was amazing that night, striking out 12 Reds in the no-decision. He faced the Yankees back on May the 5th, allowing two earned runs in 6 innings of work in a game the Indians lost 3-2.
He struck out eight Yankees that day, and will try to do the same on Sunday allowing the offense some time to get going.
