Here are three keys to an Indians victory:
1. Fight the Big Moments
Fenway Park has seen some of the games greatest moments in baseball history.
This is a good test for the Indians.
For the most part, the Indians have handled the pressure situations well. Come postseason, that pressure will feel far different.
2. Plutko keeps up with David Price
Adam Plutko has replaced Trevor Bauer in the Indians rotation for the time being. He will be facing one of the games toughest left-handed pitchers David Price. Though Price might not be the pitcher he once was.
He has regained his dominance. He is 13-6 on the season and his ERA is 3.69. This is Plutko’s second game since returning from the minors.
In his previous start, he went seven innings for the Tribe, but gave up a three-run home run.
This will be the first time Plutko has faced the Boston Red Sox.
It will be interesting to see how he handles facing the deepest lineup in baseball.
3. Get Lindor and Ramirez Going
As big of a series it is for the Indians. Their top two players have struggled to get things going so far.
Between Lindor and Ramirez, they are a combined 4-24 in this series.
For the Indians to have success. They could really use these two get some hits.
