1. Kluber Day
Corey Kluber is pitching on extended five days’ rest, and looked more like himself against the Tigers on Sunday after an All-Star Break knee injection. The reigning AL Cy Young winner went 7 1/3 innings and held the Tigers to one run on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts.
Against the Angels in his career, Kluber is 2-2 with a 3.99 ERA through six starts. He is 1-0 against L.A. at Progressive Field.
Kluber will face off against Felix Pena, who is coming off his worst outing of the year after he relinquished seven runs and recorded just one out against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday.
