Preview: Indians Look to Bounce Back and Win the Series Over the Orioles in Afternoon Affair

2. Better Patience at the Plate

Saturday was not a day to remember for the Indians offense against O’s starter Alex Cobb. The former Rays pitcher had just three wins against 15 losses, but all he did was handcuff the Indians to the tune of two runs on five hits in a complete game.

The Indians were very aggressive at the plate all afternoon, and that was a huge reason why by the time Cobb looked up in the 7th inning, he had thrown less than 80 pitches.

Sunday against Orioles starter Yefry Ramirez, the Indians need to make him throw pitches early and work the count, not look to jump on pitches as aggressive as they were on Saturday.
