1. Love, Osman, Wiggins, Jones face former teams
The Cavaliers have made their fair share of transactions with the Timberwolves over the last four years, as Kevin Love, Cedi Osman, Andrew Wiggins and Tyus Jones have all been moved at critical points in their respective careers. Whether it makes a difference or not remains to be seen, but there should be a little extra motivation to perform for these players involved in the following trades…
- Aug. 23, 2014
- Cavs received Kevin Love
- Timberwolves received Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Thaddeus Young and $6.3 million trade exception
- 76ers received Alexey Shved, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and a protected 2015 first-round draft pick
- June 25, 2015
- Cavs received two 2015 second-round picks (Cedi Osman and Rakeem Christmas) and future second-round pick
- Timberwolves received 2015 first-round pick (Tyus Jones)
Aside from Love, none of the aforementioned names played a game or spent much time with the team that drafted them. With that said, the opportunity to prove people wrong still presents itself for both sides this evening.
