Players To Love And Hate In Week 16 Of Fantasy Football

Loves:

QB Ben Roethlisberger PIT $8,900
I love Roethlisberger this week. He’s a throwing machine and just gives all the different weapons on offense a new chance and takes them to another level. The Ravens have been decimated by injuries and the Steelers need a win to continue their attempt to reach the playoffs. I expect 35+ points from them this week led by Big Ben throwing for four touchdowns.

QB Jimmy Clausen BAL $6,100
Yeah I’m just going to throw this in here to mess with people. He’s my value play at QB this week. Pittsburgh is second last in passing yards allowed at 280 a game. The Ravens have no running game now, 28 yards the last game, and with Pittsburgh putting up points should turn it into a passing affair. He’s averaged around 275 yards a game against Kansas City and Seattle, two great defenses. He has a chance to put up some numbers this week and surprise people.

RB Adrian Peterson MIN $8,200
I’m still a firm believer in Peterson this week. He suffered an ankle injury last week but came back in the game to finish it. He only has one touchdown in his last three games, but the Giants are not going to be that good this week. I’m a huge believer in the Vikings and Peterson is a good start.

RB Doug Martin TB $8,100
Double digit fantasy points and at least 80 yards in his last six games. Check. Martin has revived himself from the dead this season. He’s a little pricey but those stats against the 26th ranked run defense should mean you want to start him.

RB Denard Robinson JAC $6,400
In the carousel of bad run defenses, New Orleans has now taken over the lead for worst in the NFL. Yeldon looks like he will not play again this week after not practicing so Robinson will get his shot again. He only had 41 rushing yards last week, but his eight receptions make him scary. You can start anyone on Jacksonville’s offense this week and feel confident.

RB Cameron Artis-Payne CAR $5,600
Cameron has twice as many carries last week as the other two running backs did with Stewart out again so he is the guy to go with of the backs. His cost represents tremendous value. The Panthers had 142 yards rushing when these two teams met two weeks ago. He should be a top twenty guy regardless of cost this week.

WR Brandon Marshall NYJ $8,300
Marshall continues to be having one heck of a season. Anytime you play the Patriots third best scoring offense, you have to be prepared for a shootout. Marshall is the best receiver for the Jets and is consistent.

WR Mike Evans TB $8,200
When Vincent Jackson is out of the lineup, Evans turns into a 100+ yard a game guy. Chicago has a good pass defense, but they gave up four passing touchdowns last week to Teddy Bridgewater. Evans has another opportunity to put in a big performance as the go to guy.

WR Martavis Bryant PIT $7,200
He finally caught double digit passes for the first time this season last week. Bryant should be another guy towards the top of your list with Antonio Brown because of the matchup with Baltimore. Bryant has struggled to find the endzone of late but with his speed and size he can have one big play that cements a big day.

WR Jarvis Landry MIA $7,000
The Colts allow the fourth most passing yards a game. Landry should avoid Vontae Davis since Landry is usually in the slot. Besides the Baltimore game, he has hooked up a lot with Tannehill for 8, 11, and 13 catches in previous weeks. He might hit ten again this week.

WR Kamar Aiken BAL $6,600
Aiken has put together two great back to back performances. He had five for 90 against Seattle and eight for 128 and a touchdown against Kansas City. The Steelers second worst passing defense may present the opportunities for him to beat some terrible Pittsburgh corners in route to another great performance.

WR Reuben Randle NYG $5,700
The value play of the WR position this week is Reuben Randle. With Odell Beckham out he will be the number one or two with Harris. Randle is a little more consistent than Harris and has caught two touchdowns over the last couple weeks. At $5,700 and being a team’s top target, the value for playing him is extremely high.
