Hates:
QB Eli Manning NYG $7,200
Manning has ODB and I think the Giants will win this one but I’m not buying him having a huge fantasy day or guaranteeing the Giants will win. The Panthers have the best defense in the NFL and tough matchups all over the place making it tough on Eli.
QB Matt Hasselbeck IND $6,400
Hasselbeck is so banged up and it’s a shame because the Colts line has single handedly killed their QBs this year. Matt has had single digit fantasy points the last two weeks and is still dealing with a multitude of injuries that will affect his play. Houston is third in passing defense.
RB Buck Allen BAL $6,600
He finally got a tough defense after playing the Rams, Browns, and Dolphins, and the Seahawks held him to 14 yards rushing. The Chiefs are killing it right now and with Clausen being the QB, I would load the box and force him to beat you.
RB Shaun Draughn SF $6,100
Draughn couldn’t do anything last week like the rest of the offense against the Browns. He now goes up against a Bengals team that is top ten against the run. Even with Dalton being out, I like the Bengals defense to get them the win.
WR Antonio Brown PIT $8,800
Denver’s corners are just too good. They are the only team allowing less than 215 passing yards a game. The Steelers should turn to Miller as I mentioned before. Brown won’t be fed like he typically does and Roethlisberger will need to find the open guy against that great Broncos secondary.
WR Alshon Jeffery CHI $7,900
Minnesota’s defense is in the top ten against the pass. Jeffery hasn’t had a monster game recently although he has been productive. I don’t see the breakout game coming again and he is dealing with an illness and a calf issue.
WR Ted Ginn CAR $6,600
He has four touchdowns the last two weeks. Yes that’s great but I’m also looking at the fact he had three targets last week. Some of it could be from the blowout victory, but he doesn’t get a ton of targets or catches. He has yet to have over five catches in a game all season, so he’s not going into my starting lineup.
WR Travis Benjamin CLE $5,600
Manziel is running out of options for people to throw the ball to in Cleveland and Barnidge, Benjamin, and Johnson are about his only three options. There is no way you can like Benjamin getting a matchup against Sherman or the other corners in Seattle.
DEF Panthers $5,100
The Panthers defense has 19 points three of the last four weeks. I’m going to say it doesn’t happen this week. The Giants are top ten in passing and while the Panthers struggle more against the run than the pass, it only takes a couple of plays for the Giants to break a big one. With the Panthers almost wrapping things up, I expect them to get a little more conservative going forwards too.
