Players To Love And Hate In Week 7 Of Fantasy Football

Matt Ryan

Loves:

QB Matt Ryan ATL $8,700
Brady is the only QB playing better than Ryan right now. He gets a home matchup against a Chargers team that has allowed some big comebacks and points scored. Riding the hot hand is a smart decision and if you can afford a lineup with stacking Ryan and Julio then go for it.

QB Kirk Cousins WAS $7,300
The Lions have given up a ton of passing yards at home this season. That is good news for Cousins who has not had a 20 point game this season. The main thing that prevented him from being in my lineup was Reed being out with a concussion but there is still enough talent on that team that in a shootout with Detroit he can score well and get the team a victory.

RB DeMarco Murray TEN $8,700
Of the expensive options I like Murray is one of them. He has been consistent all year and has taken advantage of favorable matchups. He has 20+ carries the last three weeks and the Colts are right there with the Saints of teams with the worst defenses.

RB Jeremy Hill CIN $6,800
Hill has been a big disappointment this year but the Browns are a perfect opponent for him. He has a good track record against them and the Bengals can use him to pound it out and then throw it around too. If he can get 15+ touches I think he adds about 75 yards and a touchdown.

RB James White NE $6,100
Brady’s return was good news for White. He didn’t have a double digit game before Brady and since then he has scored double digits twice averaging about 17 points per game. He’s not a threat to run but he will get you 50+ receiving yards and possibly a touchdown.

RB Mike Gillislee BUF $5,300
McCoy looks like he will miss Sunday’s game and the door opens for an undervalued backup to stash into the lineup. The Dolphins are the second worst team against the run this year and Gillislee gets the work down by the goalline including a touchdown each of the last two weeks on just eight carries as a backup.

WR Amari Cooper OAK $7,900
Back to back weeks of 125 yards for Cooper. The Raiders for some reason are better on the road than at home and Jacksonville has struggled a little bit this season. If the Raiders want to go in there and win either Cooper or Crabtree is going to need a big game and I would lean on Cooper more.

WR Golden Tate DET $6,600
Tate had almost 20 more points last week than he did in his best game going into it. I’m not choosing Tate on my love list because of that game. It’s far from that because I still don’t trust him. The reason I’m picking him is because I expect a passing shootout from Washington and Detroit. Josh Norman is a major threat on defense and I think he matches up better on Marvin Jones. If he sticks with Jones than Tate will have to be the one to step up.

WR Jamison Crowder WAS $6,200
Likewise Crowder is the one that has a chance to have a big game for Washington. Doctson is now on IR, Reed is out with a concussion, and Jackson is questionable with a shoulder injury. Crowder has not done much this year but with people ahead of him out he might be able to have a breakout game for one week.

TE Hunter Henry SD $5,800
Atlanta does not defend the pass well and Henry has a touchdown reception the last three weeks. Atlanta’s offense has been hard to stop and if this one also goes to a shootout Henry is the redzone threat with injuries plaguing the Chargers for a second straight season.

DEF Bengals $5,100
The Bengals are the most expensive option this week but might be one to look out for on Sunday. If Terrelle Pryor misses the game with a hamstring injury then Andrew Hawkins and either Ricardo Louis or Rashard Higgins will be the second starting WR. That would leave the Browns with no playmakers on offense with Crowell struggling after the Bitonio injury.

DEF Vikings $4,900
The Vikings are the highest scoring defense and by about four more points per week than the next closest team. The Eagles are coming back to Earth after their unexpected 3-0 start. Carson Wentz has made smart plays all year but let’s see how the rookie holds up against that defense.
