Players To Love And Hate In Week 3 Of Fantasy Football

Jay Ajayi

RB Jay Ajayi MIA $5,700
I’m going a little outside of the box here to come up with a value pick and Ajayi stands out. The Browns have been among the NFLs worst against the run year after year and there is no offense left for them either. If it gets out of hand quick Miami could continue to run the ball. Ajayi should get the redzone carries over Drake who may be more of the passing threat.

WR Antonio Brown PIT $9,500
I don’t like putting all my eggs into one basket usually but Antonio Brown is the one person I don’t mind doing it for. He put up 29 points in week one and horrible playing conditions week two robbed him of what could have been a regular Antonio performance. You best believe the Roethlisberger Brown combo are going to do what it takes to not have the Wentz conversation outshine them.

WR Jordan Matthews PHI $6,900
I mentioned that I like Pittsburgh to go off and if so Philly has to do something to stay in the game. Jordan Matthews will need to step it up. The Steelers allow the third most points against the pass so it is also a favorable matchup for him. As long as it turns into a shootout like I expect picking the top receiver for both teams might be a smart idea.

WR Travis Benjamin SD $6,900
Philip Rivers is running out of targets to throw to with Keenan Allen and Danny Woodhead out for the year. The only saving grace for him is that the Colts have a ton of injuries to their secondary. Two CBs are out another questionable and both safeties are also questionable. San Diego has gotten a hot start in both weeks and the injuries may let them do three straight.

TE Dennis Pitta BAL $5,000
Pitta got 12 targets and 100 yards last week against the Browns. There’s not many players posting those kinds of numbers and having that cheap of a fantasy price tag. The Ravens do not have a lot of options across the board right now and with his strong performance I would take a chance against Jacksonville who struggled pretty bad against San Diego.

K Josh Lambo SD $4,500
He has scored eight and nine points in two games so for the lowest price tag possible for a kicker he isn’t a terrible person to put into your lineup. The Chargers have had those fast starts and the Colts defense wasn’t good to begin with and then all their injuries on top of it. He might be in position to kick multiple times.

DEF Dolphins $4,600
The Browns are now starting Cody Kessler, are still without Josh Gordon and now lost Corey Coleman. He’s also playing behind a line that let Josh McCown get murdered last week. Miami’s front four is tough and I would expect them to bring pressure all day and force Kessler to make the right reads and force the Browns line to block. If any part of that fails the turnovers and defensive scores might happen.
