Players To Love And Hate In Week 1 Of Fantasy Football

WR Antonio Brown PIT $9,300
No Bell, no Bryant, no Green for Pittsburgh this week. That means Roethlisberger is going to look to Brown on every single play. The Redskins spent a lot to bring in Josh Norman but he’s not great in man to man coverage. He’ll be tested by Brown all night and I like Brown to have a monster week.

WR Odell Beckham NYG $9,100
It shouldn’t be possible for me to get Brown and Beckham in one lineup but I did. I like to stack my QB and WR in the daily leagues because usually one team that puts up monster numbers will propel your team to the top if you find the right stack. I liked Manning for some reasons and Odell would be the beneficiary.

WR Marvin Jones DET $5,500
Golden Tate is questionable and Calvin Johnson isn’t there anymore so Jones could be the number one option for Stafford this week. Jones is a steal for $5,500 and the Colts defense is not one that scares me.

TE Martellus Bennett NE $5,100
The Patriots are without Gronkowski. Jimmy Garoppolo can use a big target to use in his first for New England. The Cardinals have a good defense but Bennett is right there for a check down option and redzone threat for cheap.

K Steven Hauschka SEA $4,800
I had money left over so I went after my top kicker this week. Hauschka has been one of the better kickers for years and the Dolphins defense isn’t very good. The Seahawks have the largest spread of the week so the expectation is the offense will continue where they left off.

DEF Rams $4,500
Once again the Rams offer another value option this week. The 49ers are competing with the Browns for the worst team in the NFL and the 49ers have nothing offensively. Bruce Ellington is out for the year leaving Torrey Smith as the only threat outside Carlos Hyde. The Rams have one of the top defensive lines in the NFL so stopping the run and getting to Gabbert sounds like a realistic possibility.
