The news on Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer is good from the standpoint that he will be back for the postseason, but he will miss the next four to six weeks according to manager Terry Francona.
The interesting perspective on Bauer is that his timetable for his return is different from that of the Indians medical staff according to Jordan Bastian who tweeted out as such Friday afternoon.
Asked about his timetable for return, Trevor Bauer said his answer will be much different than the one given by the medical staff. He plans on doing everything possible to return this season.

“I’m in a constant state of being pissed off right now,” Bauer said via Zack Meisel on Twitter.
Four to six weeks puts Bauer back with the team sometime around the middle to the end of September, but all eyes will be on his potential return for the teams’ postseason series the first weekend in October.
Basitan tweeted out that Francona stated that the hope for Bauer, who is 12-6 with a 2.22 ERA, is that he can resume throwing from standing position in around 10 days.
10 days after that he could start mound work.
There was tweets today around Bauer wearing a walking boot in the Indians outfield while kneeling and throwing long toss to one of the Tribe trainers.
Bauer didn’t take too kindly to a tweet from Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com when it came to his thoughts on his return, as seen in the tweet below.
You’re having a bad day on Twitter Paul. You should take the rest of the day off and come back and try again tomorrow. Or, you know, just put my actual quotes up when you tweet.
