7.) 160th Overall
Actual Pick: Roderick Johnson OT Florida State
My Pick: Nathan Peterman QB Pitt
I was originally on my no QB at all this draft approach but with Peterman still sitting here the value is worth the chance. Cleveland is not going to find many starters at other positions here and with the need for a QB, Peterman is one of the more pro-ready QBs available. He only costs a fifth round pick and if they decide they want one of the top talents next year, they can go after them and not feel bad about wasting a fifth round pick for a pretty good backup QB.
8.) 185th Overall:
Actual Pick: Caleb Brantley DT Florida
My Pick: Roderick Johnson OT Florida State
It’s tough for me to put Johnson here because I don’t know if he would last 25 picks between but there was not an OT selected during that time so I will mock him here. The line needs to develop someone behind Joe Thomas because he won’t play forever and also have somebody that can push Erving and Coleman at RT.
