Photo Gallery: Elyria Pioneers Top Avon Lake 31-7 in Week One HS Football Action

AVON LAKE, OH – Week one of high school football saw the Elyria Pioneer, led by 5th year head coach Kevin Fell, take care of the Avon Lake Shoremen 31-7.

The game was nip and tuck till the end of the half, with a key pick set up an Elyria TD on a busted play on 4th-and-10 as running back Chris Atkinson picked up a fumble and raced 36 yards for a score.

The Pioneers dominated the rest of the way.

Elyria plays host to Lorain next week, while Avon Lake will travel to Avon.
