Round 5 Jared Norris ILB Utah
He performed well on the 2014 team that featured high picks Eric Rowe and Nate Orchard who the latter is currently on the Browns. He had 116 tackles in 2014 and 86 this year in just 10 games due to injury. When healthy the production is there but is not a gifted athlete in the middle. He can play a depth role for ILB where the team lost Karlos Dansby and Craig Robertson.
Round 6 Matt Judon DE/OLB Grand Valley St.
If the Browns are focused on rebuilding, it can take a couple of years and they need to go for some high reward players. Judon can be one of those guys. He can be the kind of guy to replace Armonty Bryant with all his off the field problems and impending free agency. Judon was a small school guy who put up insane numbers (20 sacks, 23.5 tackles for loss). His athleticism is also off the charts with a 4.73 40, 30 reps, and a 35 inch vertical jump at 6’3” 275 pounds. He may be a work in progress but he can provide an edge rush as a later round pick.
Round 7 Tra Carson RB Texas A&M
With your last pick you’re trying to find somebody that can carve a role in anywhere and RBs always seem to be a late round gem. While he doesn’t have the potential to breakthrough and be a star NFL back, he would work as a compliment back. With Duke and Crowell really being the only two backs, he has a bigger frame, 5’11” 227 pounds that can make him a short yardage and inside running back. He performs well in blocking, letting him be a third down and short yard option while also being a consideration in punt protection.
