Predicting How the Browns Will Go in Their 10 Picks in the NFL Draft

Shon Coleman

Round 3 Shon Coleman OT Auburn

The offensive line is a weakness now after Schwartz and Mack have both left. Erving is a more natural fit at center so the Browns should look for a RT to replace Schwartz. Coleman can fit that role as he is much better against the run than the pass. He will be 25 years old this year after battling cancer when he was younger. He does have a lot of athleticism but if they can improve his technique a little more he can be a devastating mauler on the right side.

Round 4 Rashard Higgins WR Colorado St.

If the Browns really want one of these QBs to succeed they need to get playmakers around them even if that means going on offense with the first four picks. I’m a big fan of Higgins. While nothing athletically jumps out at you when you look at his workouts, he has always been a productive WR. He set almost all of the receiving records at Colorado St., has good size at 6’1” 196 pounds, good hands, good route running, and great ball skills. Combine all the necessary ingredients for a good receiver in a weak core that the Browns have and he can make an impact as a rookie.
