Osman to miss two weeks; Hood doubtful for Sunday’s game against Lakers

LOS ANGELES– Cedi Osman is expected to be out the next two weeks due to a left hip flexor strain. The Cavaliers confirmed the news via a press release on Saturday night.

Osman left the third quarter of Friday night’s loss to the Clippers with the hip injury. He received an MRI and exam this afternoon as the team remains in L.A. to take on the Lakers on Sunday. Osman will undergo treatment and rehab and his timetable may be re-adjusted as he progresses.

Osman is averaging 3.6 points and 1.9 rebounds for the Cavaliers this year, but has seen a more prominent role as both a starter and bench player since the trade deadline.

In the same status update, the Cavs also said Rodney Hood is listed as doubtful for the game against the Lakers due to a low back strain. He’s started the last three games for Cleveland.
