The Orange High School Girls Golf team participated in the Berkshire Invitational on Friday and finished as Runners Up.
“It was a great team effort, I was proud of the way the girls went out there and had fun while playing their best games,” said Orange High School Girls Golf Coach Cody Covach. “Anuja (Patel) our freshman star shot 48, she was one off the low round. Bree (Turner) shot 50, that’s her low round of the year. It was a team effort, and I am proud of our girls.”
The nine hole Invitational was played at Pleasant Hills Golf course in Chardon.
Orange, who finished 8 strokes behind Team Champion Kenston (201), finished with a team total score of 209.
Individually the top scores for Orange were carded by Anuja Patel (48), Bree Turner (50), and Tessa Kemelhar (53).
After the round, the Orange Girls Golf Team senior captain, Tessa Kemelhar, talked about the round and the season ahead for the Lions Girls Golf Team.

This upcoming week Orange Girls Golf will host NDCL (August, 14), Chagrin Falls (August 15), West Geauga and Lutheran West (August 17), and Mineral Ridge (August 18).
