Ohio State’s Keita Bates-Diop was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 18th pick in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft.
The 6-foot-7 forward was the Big Ten player of the year, and a consensus second team All-American.
Offensively, he raised his scoring average by an impressive 10.1 points from 2016-17 (9.7) to this past season when he averaged 19.8 points per game. He has plenty of control around the basket and can also be a good scorer on the move.
Defensively, his length and lateral quickness make him versatile. He’s a good off-ball shot blocker and can guard multiple positions.
