1. Hot start offense
Remember a time, about two hours ago, when we were all happy to be watching this game?!
The Cavs got off to about the best offensive start imaginable in the first quarter, tying their season-high for scoring in a single frame.
Cleveland led 43-31 after the first 12 minutes, shooting 15-of-22 (68.2 percent) from the field and 5-of-8 from 3-point land. J.R. Smith led the way from deep going 4-for-4 for 12 points. Along with Smith, Isaiah Thomas made his presence felt early scoring 11 points and dishing out four assists. LeBron James joined them in double-digits with 10.
In the opening minutes the Cavs had great ball movement and did not fall into the trap of isolation-ball that they have been struggling with lately.
That offense carried over into the second quarter as Tristan Thompson ended the half with 10 points and eight boards, and Kyle Korver chipped in eight. In the first half, they led by as many as 21 points.
