Tonight, Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending, if not career-ending injury to his left leg. The sight was so gruesome that it was not shown on TV. This is the same leg he injured in college where he dislocated his knee and tore his ACL, PCL, and LCL. It is unknown if he will be able to come back from a similar injury again.
Moving Forward
With this injury weighing heavy on the Browns, some of the players that come to mind as targets would be free agent and former Browns running back Kareem Hunt as well as the LA Rams running back Cam Akers. Akers was made available for a trade target just yesterday. There are a couple more running backs the Browns could target but they’d have to give up a significant amount of capital for them. These names would be the Packers- Aaron Jones, the Jets- Dalvin Cook, this could only be potential because Breece Hall is waiting in the wings, and the Colts- Jonathan Taylor. Taylor is displeased with his current team and is set to be a free agent after this season. Dalvin Cook is also on a one-year deal with the Jets. If free agency comes around and Chubb’s career is over, the Browns would be considered a contender for some of these Backs.
