Nick Chubb and Denzel Ward were chosen as AFC representatives for the Pro Bowl Skills Challenge Thursday at Allegiant Stadium. Chubb and Ward were teamed with Mac Jones, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, Hunter Renfrow, Mark Andrews and Derwin James.
These events are fan favorites and the athletes get in some trash-talking while showing off their skills. There’s a lot of peacocking and laughter throughout the day.
There were five various competitions, three of which the Browns’ Pro Bowl players were a part of.
Fastest Man:
Chubb was up against Hill, Parsons and Diggs in a 40-yard dash. Parsons barely beat out Chubb and looked to thoroughly enjoy smoking Hill.
Thread the Needle:
Kirk Cousins and Mac Jones had to aim for targets while two defenders tried to intercept or defend them. Ward was defending Cousins. Jones was able to eek the win out by a point.
Dodgeball:
Not your typical playground game, more of an epic showdown of NFL’s elite. The NFC narrowly won in a one-on-one showdown. Chubb faced off against Jefferson who had a spectacular one-handed grab on Chubb’s throw.
A total of five Cleveland Browns made the Pro Bowl which is Sunday February 6. Myles Garrett and Joel Bitonio were named starters. Chubb, Ward and Wyatt Teller are also on the team.
