Nate Diaz (UFC)
Don’t forget like many others have that got caught up in the all of the boxing hoopla. Conor McGregor still has a UFC belt to defend, he is currently the Lightweight Champion of the world. Who will he pick to be his next opponent to defend the belt against?
Well, the fight many of us want to see, is the trilogy fight with Nate Diaz. “I’m the 155-pound champion, I faced him at 170, he beat me, then I rematched him at 170, I beat him. Now I’m the 155-pound world champion. If he wants that fight, he must come down,” McGregor told MSN.
“That’s a fair trade. I didn’t ask for the rematch at a lower weight, I asked for the rematch at the exact same weight. I thought that was a fair play move on my half and then I came in and I won. So now I won that, then I won the 155-pound title after that. If he wants to fight, he’s got to make that 155-pound limit.”
Ironically enough for Diaz, he can care less about the title, he simply wants the huge pay day and this can be it. His last two fights have both been massive pay days and this one sure would be too.
