The start of the 2015-2016 NBA season is upon us. Here is the first of our weekly Top 10 Power Rankings.
1. Golden State Warriors: The Warriors are the defending champs and top dogs in the league. They lost David Lee to free-agency, but have every other key piece back. Reigning MVP Steph Curry is still in the prime of his career if not just entering it; Klay Thompson is one of the best shooting guards in the game, and the depth of the Warriors’ roster is unparalleled. Until someone dethrones them, Golden State is number one.
2. San Antonio Spurs: The Spurs already had a hall of fame coach, one of the best power forwards to ever play the game, and potential hall of famers Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli. Then throw into the mix LaMarcus Aldridge, an elite big man who has averaged 20 plus points and 8 plus rebounds a game for five straight seasons. Then consider one of the most underrated/underappreciated players in the league Kawhi Leonard, along with sharpshooter Danny Green. This team is a juggernaut. The Spurs should rival anyone in the league for the shot at yet another NBA title.
