NFC North
1.) Green Bay Packers 14-2
The division is in a down year after the Bridgewater injury and they get to play the NFC East and the AFC South. Jordy Nelson comes back and the Packers have a pretty good route to having the best record in the NFL. It’s hard to expect anything less than winning the division for the Packers.
2.) Chicago Bears 8-8
The Bears take advantage of the Teddy B injury and come away with a second place finish. The defense looked much better than I thought it would last year but they are still transitioning to the 3-4 from a 4-3. The duo of Kevin White and Alshon Jeffery should be the highlight for Chicago this year if both can stay healthy. They are getting back to competing but is still just an average team finishing at .500.
3.) Minnesota Vikings 7-9
Their season went south like Bridgewater’s knee. The injury sounds terrible and while they say he will make a full recovery it remains to be seen when he will come back post 2016. With it happening so close to the season, they are stuck with limited QB options. The offense is going to rely solely on the back of Adrian Peterson and I’m not sure how much more ground and pound AP can take. The defense will keep them in games and they can still be decent but Shaun Hill starting at QB puts them from a playoff team to one that falls just under .500.
4.) Detroit Lions 6-10
The Lions still have issues to work through. They lost their best player in Calvin Johnson and they worked on improving the line to protect Matt Stafford. There aren’t a lot of options at the skilled positions for Detroit and the run defense is pretty weak. Detroit should start looking for a rebuild mode as they have too many holes to make a run in the division.
