The Medina Bees are having a tremendous 2016 season, sitting at 6-0 after another dominant win on Friday night as they beat up the Brunswick Blue Devils 41-7 on the road.
One reason why is the efforts of Senior running back Jimmy Daw, who barreled through the Blue Devils for 215 yards rushing on 16 carries to earn the honor of “The NEOSI High School Player of the Week for Week Six.”
Daw is having a stellar senior year, setting the school record for touchdowns, and piling up big yards not only on the ground but in the air. In the win over the Blue Devils, he not only scored once on the ground, but also scored a 39-yard touchdown on a screen pass.
The back is a big reason why the Bees are putting up video game like numbers on offense this season, as they have had games in which they’ve already scored 70, 55 and 52 points.
The Bees and Daw will host the Mentor Cardinals this Friday in what should be another shootout in week seven.
