8. CAROLINA PANTHERS (9)
This may be the most fragile team in the Top 10 of our Power Rankings. I think Cam Newton is a freak of nature, but the NFL is also full of other freaks of nature and I just don’t see Carolina succeeding for much longer if Cam has to do it all on his own. There is an impressive corner by the name of Josh Norman on this defense that has the ability to shift momentum in any game and I’ll be keeping an eye on this secondary to carry this team if Newton starts to struggle.
9. BUFFALO BILLS (5)
I, for one, am over Rex Ryan’s press conferences – enough. I’ll agree that the Bills did not play smart football, acquiring way too many penalties. Buffalo could not find much success in the running game and turned to Tyrod Taylor to repeat his performance from Week 3 and were embarrassed by the New York Giants.
10. NEW YORK JETS (13)
London was packed with NFL fans and the Jets delivered an exciting ground game via Chris Ivory. If you were brewing your coffee you may have looked over and seen Ivory dragging a slew of Miami defenders behind him in-route to a 29 carry – 166 yard day with a TD. Brandon Marshall also finished with a healthy 7 catches for 128 yards.
11. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (10)
This one is on the kicker and some questionable 4th down play-calling. Even as a Browns fan that game was extremely painful to watch. After missing two field goals in the 4th quarter the camera would focus on Josh Scobee staring hopelessly at Pittsburgh’s 4th down attempts and it was evident he played his last game as a Steeler.
