NEO Sports Insiders Week Eight NFL Power Rankings

2. GREEN BAY PACKERS (2) 6-0

A battle of undefeated teams is in store for NFL fans on Sunday night as Green Bay will take on the Denver Broncos. If I was betting man my money would be on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers this weekend. However, Eddie Lacy’s lack-luster performance on the ground is troubling for the receiving core going against one of the top defensive backfields in the league. It will be hard for GB to move the ball if the air-space is filled with Broncos.

3. CINCINNATI BENGALS (4) 6-0

Division matchup in-store for the well-rested Bengals when they take a trip to Pittsburgh this weekend, and the Cincinnati defense will be frothing at the mouth if Big Ben is sidelined for this game.

4. CAROLINA PANTHERS (7) 6-0

The Panthers did not play extremely well in their game last week. Luckily, the Eagles didn’t play much better and Carolina holds on to the untarnished record that now reads 6-0. Despite tossing 3 INTs, Cam Newton led his team to victory with the help of Jonathan Stewart’s 24 carry – 125 yard performance.

5. DENVER BRONCOS (5) 6-0

Sunday night’s game against Green Bay will be a tall task for a struggling offense that has not shown very much this season. Hopefully Peyton Manning can feed off of the home atmosphere and find a way to put some effective drives together.

6. ATLANTA FALCONS (3) 6-1

Atlanta’s defense was efficient enough to help the Falcons escape Tennessee with a W, keeping the Titans 1-9 on 3rd down conversions. If you’re not starting Devonta Freeman in your one-week leagues yet, you might want to consider snagging him this week.  The league leader in rushing TDs didn’t put up a score this week, odd, but his production is well documented finishing the day with 25 carries and 116 yards.
