26. MIAMI DOLPHINS (20) 4-6
Stomach-turning stat of the day: 1/10 on 3rd down conversions. Simply by looking at the statistics in their loss to Dallas in Week 11, Miami is having a hard time executing. I understand how broad that can be, but the Dolphins are in that type of shape right now.
27. DETROIT LIONS (31) 3-7
Matthew Stafford had a pretty easy time getting the ball out last week, completing 22/35 passes. As a result of that, and some impressive defensive stands, the Lions have now started to climb out of the bottom of the barrel label that was applied to them when Stafford was benched a few weeks ago.
28. SAN FRANSISCO 49ERS (24) 3-7
Another team plagued by 3rd down conversions, 2/11 last week, the 49ers are going to have a rough last few weeks this season. With Colin Kaepernick surely out, Blaine Gabbert has a chance to prove his worth in the league after a bumpy start in Jacksonville.
29. BALTIMORE RAVENS (29) 3-7
Both players mentioned in last week’s column, Joe Flacco and Justin Forsett, are gone for the remainder of the year after suffering season ending injuries in the victory of St. Louis. With the Monday night match-up against the Cleveland Browns ahead for the Ravens, it looks as if former 3rd round pick for Cleveland a year ago, RB Terrance West, will get a second chance to play against the Browns.
