7. MINNESOTA VIKINGS (8) 6-2
Oh look, another NFC team in the Top 10 – starting to notice a trend here. Adrian Peterson turned in a gritty performance in the victory over the red hot Rams this past Sunday, finishing with 125 yards on the ground, scoring TD on 29 attempts. This week has them pitted against the high-powered aerial assault that is Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders.
8. ATLANTA FALCONS (7) 6-3
Atlanta is losing ground in the NFL with another loss, this one at the hand of the Blaine Gabbert led 49ers. Julio Jones had himself a day, (10 catches, 137 yards). Matt Ryan had 30 completions for over 300 yards but the Falcons couldn’t get it done and a result, drop a spot in our power rankings.
9. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (12) 5-4
Losing Ben Roethlisberger for the next few weeks to a foot sprain is not what the Steelers had in mind following their shoot-out victory against the Oakland Raiders this previous Sunday. This team is in the Top 10 for now, but if Landry Jones is at the helm, assistance from Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, and DeAngelo Williams will have to be leaned on heavily.
