3. CAROLINA PANTHERS (3) 8-0
Is there anything Cam Newton can’t do? So far this season the answer is: lose. Let us not turn a blind eye to the defense, which made a huge, game saving interception in the red zone with the Packers knocking on the door of overtime. Topping the NFC the Panthers stand alone and take on the Tennessee Titans for Week 10.
4. DENVER BRONCOS (4) 7-1
Well, it was fun while it lasted, Peyton Manning, but the Denver Broncos suffered their first loss in Indianapolis this past weekend. Another two interception performance for the man at QB for Denver and the defense was worn down by the powerful, bruising run game led by Frank Gore and the Colts offensive line.
5. GREEN BAY (5) 6-2
Questions have now surfaced such as, “Is Green Bay’s defense a championship caliber group?” If the Packers can find a way to improve that atrocious run game, there’s a very good chance the questions about the defense will disappear. Also, a good rushing attack is a defense’s dream if it works well enough to keep them off the field for a few extra minutes a game.
6. ARIZONA CARDINALS (6) 6-2
Coming off the bye, Carson Palmer and Chris Johnson travel to Seattle to pay a visit to the Seahawks. CJ2K has already surpassed the amount of total yards from scrimmage he amassed all year in 2014, through 9 weeks this year. A great find for the Cardinals at running back and a resurrected QB? – Playoff recipe ingredients for Arizona.
