NBA 2015-2016 Mid-Season Rankings and Awards : Top 10 Shooting Guards

Harden

2. James Harden : Houston Rockets

Harden is second in the entire NBA in scoring, leading all shooting guards with an average of 27.9 points per game. He has scored 30 or more points in 21 games this season, including seven 40-plus point performances, and one game of 50 points. He also leads all shooting guards in assists, averaging 7 per game, which puts him eight in the NBA overall.

Harden leads all shooting guards in rebounding, averaging 6.3 per game. So why isn’t he the number one shooting guard in our rankings? It’s not like he isn’t a great player. But his defense holds him back from being number one on our list, and the man we selected at number one is a complete player.
