CLEVELAND– The Cleveland Indians announced two roster moves prior to their Friday night showdown with the Minnesota Twins.
Tyler Naquin was activated from the disabled list and will play in his first game since May 11, when he strained his left hamstring against the Kansas City Royals.
The team also announced that Yonder Alonso has been placed on the Family Medical Emergency List and will be out for three to seven days.
Through 30 games with the Indians, Naquin is batting .333 (25-of-75) with two home runs and 11 RBI. He appeared in six games on a rehab assignment in both Class Double-A Akron and Class Triple-A Columbus.
