First things first…it’s a beautiful day for a ballgame and the Cleveland Guardians will host the Seattle Mariners first pitch at 1:10p on the corner of Carnegie and Ontario. NEED TO SEE YOU THERE! Play hooky and if needed I’ll send a text or email to your boss giving you permission to skip out of your gig for a few hours!

Bibee and Guarantee!
Let’s talk about last nights 8-0 Guards #MunchOnSports “Guaranteed Win”! How did I know? It was simple and bluntly analytics had nothing to do with it. Humbly it was body language, sports knowledge, my PHD from the streets of Slavic Village and Lee Harvard plus knowing people. In Tanner Bibee’s last outing vs the Reds he was pretty good HOWEVER of the 4 hits he allowed 2 were home runs to the same guy, Jeimer Candelario. He had 11 K’s and only 1 walk but you gotta keep the ball in the yard, especially in the Great American Small Park! When Tanner went to the bench he was PO’d…at himself and one could tell (or should be able to tell) that he knew he let himself and his teammates down! He had the look and vibe that he needed to get back out and toe the rubber AND dominate in his next outing. One is NOT going to get that from a computer!
The Guards played 2024 Cleveland Guardians baseball last night. What is that version? Check out an old JO JO GUNNE tune titled RUN RUN RUN! The Guards not only swiped 3 sacks and hustled their tail ends off running the bases but used 3 HR’s! YUP, GUARDS BALL ’24! Some other thoughts on the W…
Tanner Bibee FILTHY!
* Bibee was FILTHY!! 6 IP, 12 K’s and only 1 walk and 3 hits!
* HELLO LOGAN ALLEN who is tossing today. NO WALKS G and keep the ball in the park. You are facing a free swinging team and they will chase!
* The hit parade continued for KWAN, JOSE, JOSH and even BO had 2 hits. YES BO is broken and hoping that will start to bring him back!
* Now we need hits from GIMINEZ and FRY! Those fellas cannot go 0-7. Also 5-8 had ZERO hits last night for the good guys. That had to change.
* I also know the team is 19 games over .500 but note to Skipper – let outfielders play the outfield.
* Can you tell that the extra infield JOSH NAYLOR is taking at 1B is paying off. He lakes scooping ice cream at Mitchell’s look easy. KEEP IT UP! I also know Josh DOES NOT WANT TO DH! Needs to play the field. I’m cool with that.
* Something else I discovered is that Manzardo was told to work on his glove in AAA. I like his stroke and he is sooooooo close to breaking out. I heard he was a statue but he motors pretty good on the bases. Could he be working in RF? He DH’d last night for the Clippers and walked 3 times!
Ok, gonna go have a catch and get ready to head to Progressive Field. Wanna see you, meet you, greet you at the game! I’ll be in 146 with #DonnaStrong, son Clay and our guy Fitzy!
