Munch Musings from E. 53rd and Hamm Avenue – Browns Edition

Munch On Sports talking Browns…why not? Yup I have the good, the bad and the ugly (plenty of the latter two)!

Gotta start with a gent I am happy for after Monday night’s performance and that is Jerry Jeudy. Good cat although he got caught up in the loudmouth Newsome and even Myles at times (although he can back it up) nonsense concerning a woeful 3-9 football team. First please check out the Mary Kay Cabot story in the PD or Cleveland.com. Jerry values family and did not have a tree lawned. manicured street to travel to college and the Pros. He lost his little sister to a horrendous terminal disease and pays tribute to her on his cleats. He was pretty much run out of Denver and came back with a vengeance last night and had enough sense to note that he would trade his stats for a win. The downside, he did mention “playoffs” during the week and no doubt someone should have reminded him and others (more to come) “it is not going to happen.” The mantra today: Don’t be stupid.

I do not hesitate to say that the loss Monday night was refreshing as now hopefully it will quench the talk of a 3-9 team making the playoffs. Not just the rabble spouting that ridiculous take, but local media too (yup, the kneel for your meal syndrome from the Haslams). The disease spreads rapidly.

Before I discuss the Winston Experience let me say that Jameis (Shameis?) needs to DON’T BE STUPID. He noted the Lord must deliver him from throwing pick sixes. Well Bruh, the Lord is busy with important things and for someone who quotes the bible and professes faith this is insulting. Just think, perhaps if the Lord is involved, He may be serving you penance for your indiscretions against women in your lifetime.

I have not said much about DeShame’s season ending game, but these thoughts come to mind…Andrew Berry is still employed after making the worst trade in the history of pro sports? I know that Depodesta and his laptop had something to do with that deal, plus he’s another one who needs to go. Fans booed DeShame coming onto the field that game and cheered when he got injured. Low rent for the latter but think about my “rabble” theory, or call it “fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life” words of wisdom. Most of these so-called fans who were also chanting “you deserve it” were supporters of Watson and cheered his every move when the good ones did (rarely) surface. One of the best lines to come out of the incident was when Mr. Breaking Curfew, he could not cover St. Edward receivers, Greg Newsome noted “fans cheering was bu _ _ S _ _ _!” Guess what Greg…some of the biggest piles of BS consist of your play! Now he did have a pick last night and truly I was worried that the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse would ride though Public Square.

Myles, Myles, Myles! After 0 stats vs the Saints he had a great game vs the Steelers but along with the rest of the line recorded 0 sacks vs the Broncos. Myles noted during the week leading up to the MNF game that the team “was stepping on opponents’ necks.” Interesting as his squad is 3-9. Looks like your guys are getting the choke hold! DON’T BE STUPID.

Back to Jameis and his 497yards passing last night, 4 TD’s and 3 picks including two going back to the house. On your behalf 77 yards rushing will make you throw the ball 58 times but give me 250 – 300 yards passing with 0 picks and we all will be happier.

Seems like yesterday I noted this team would be 6-11. That would be an accomplishment this season.
