Dustin Poirier and Anthony Pettis headline a very intriguing fight card in Norfolk, Virginia. Poirier was last seen in a controversial no-contest against Eddie Alvarez in a fight that was a thriller before it was called off. Now, Poirier looks to get into the title talks with a big win against former Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis. Pettis has been caught trying to move up and down with weight classes from Featherweight and now back to Lightweight due to weight-cutting issues. If Pettis can find his former self, it could mean bad things for the rest of the division.
Below are my picks for tonight’s talented card filled with a lot of veterans.
Court McGee vs. Sean Strickland
Sage Northcutt vs. Michael Quinones
John Dodson vs. Marlon Moraes
Joe Lauzon vs. Clay Guida
Raphael Assuncao vs. Matthew Lopez
Nate Marquardt vs. Cezar Ferreira
Junior Albini vs. Andrei Arlovski
Matt Brown vs. Diego Sanchez
Dustin Poirier vs. Anthony Pettis
