Monsters Make It Four In A Row, Defeat Iowa 4-3 In Overtime

CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland Monsters were back at home on Wednesday, as they took on the Iowa Wild. Cleveland would win the game by a score of 4-3 in overtime.

The first period started off as a defensive battle, as few shots were taken on both sides. Iowa scored first, as Alex Tuch  scored at the 8:22 mark of the first. The Monsters found the back of the net three consecutive times after that, as Joe Pendenza, Daniel Zaar and Alex Broadhurst scored to make it a 3-1 lead going into the second period.

Iowa made the second period one to forget for Cleveland. Iowa scored twice, as Nick Saracino scored at the 5:12 mark and Mike Reilly netted the equalizer with 0.4 left in the second stanza. It was tied at three going into the final twenty minutes.

After a scoreless third period, T.J. Tynan scored the game-winner in overtime at the 2:27 mark off of the power play.

The Monsters have won four in a row and are currently 12-11-1-1 on the season.
