In case you missed this article last week, I figured I’d refresh your memory.
After a seemingly perfect sports weekend and the unexpected Christmas gifts we witnessed and received, it’s time to get back to business for a couple of days before the end of the year arrives.
Wednesday night The Cleveland Monsters will be taking the ice in Cavalier Wine and Gold as they pay tribute to the World Champions at The Q Arena. This will also be where They will unveil a new look for the second half of the season.
The Cavalier Mascots Sir C.C. and Moondog will be on hand for the celebration, as well as some big names from past Cavalier teams that will be available for photos and autographs on the Main Concourse from 6:00 to 7:00. The list includes:
- Austin Carr
- Campy Russell
- Larry Nance
- Jim Chones
- Barry Clemens
- Elmore Smith
- Bingo Smith
Also, coming along for the pregame festivities are the Cavs Girls and The Scream Team.
All of this before the puck drops at 7:00 when The Monsters face-off with division rivals, The Grand Rapids Griffins.
Wednesday’s game is also a Monsters “College ID Night,” presented by WMMS delivering fans with a valid College ID the opportunity to purchase special $6 tickets at the Quicken Loans Arena Box Office and enjoy $6 “Monsters College Meal Deals” featuring a Pepsi, Sugardale hot dog and chips for just $6.
The Monsters are 7-0-0-1 in their last eight contests and currently sit alone in 3rd place in the AHL’s Central Division and The Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL Affiliate) are on a franchise record 12-Game win streak. It’s a great time for hockey in Ohio, don’t miss out on all the action.
