Monsters Go Barnstorming In Iowa, Defeat Wild 2-1 In Overtime

The Cleveland Monsters continued their road trip on Wednesday, as they took on the Iowa Wild. The Monsters defeated the Wild 2-1 in a thrilling game filled with extra hockey.

The Wild struck fast with a power play goal by Zack Mitchell at the 1:18 mark, which was caused by Dillon Heatherington tripping penalty.

After a scoreless second period, the Monsters would be able to crack the code of Alex Stalock with a Dean Kukan power play goal at the 18:52 mark of the final stanza. The two teams would head to overtime even at one.

Jaime Sifers would lift the Monsters to victory with a goal at the 1:45 mark in overtime.

The Monsters are now 22-18-2-3 on the season.
