The Cleveland Monsters took on the Iowa Wild on Sunday, a game where both teams needed to win to keep pace with the Charlotte Checkers for the fourth-place spot in the Central Division game.
Cleveland brought the offensive attack early and often, as they struck for two goals in the opening frame. Zac Dalpe, who has had one heck of a stretch since joining Cleveland, scored the first marker at the 15:34 mark of the first. T.J. Tynan would tally the second goal at the 19:40 mark.
After a scoreless second that saw only two penalties combined, the Monsters put two more pucks in the back of the net. Justin Scott (17:58) and Nick Moutrey (18:11) would score the third and fourth goals for Cleveland, with thirteen seconds separating the time of the goals.
The Monsters look to continue winning in Iowa when they play Tuesday night.
