Nine regular-season Monsters games will air on FOX Sports Ohio and SportsTime Ohio.
CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Monsters, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Thursday the team’s 2017-18 television broadcast schedule for the Monsters’ 11th AHL campaign in Cleveland. This year, three regular-season Monsters games will air state-wide on FOX Sports Ohio and six games will air on SportsTime Ohio.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with our friends at FOX Sports Ohio and SportsTime Ohio this season,” said Monsters Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Franchise Operations Mike Ostrowski on Thursday. “This terrific coverage from our television partners will provide Monsters fans in Northeast Ohio and around the country with unparalleled access to the team in our 11th AHL season.”
The Monsters’ 2017-18 TV schedule is highlighted by three FOX Sports Ohio telecasts, including the team’s annual “Cavaliers Night” vs. the Rockford IceHogs on Friday, January 19th, the Monsters’ trademark “Cleveland Rocks Night” vs. the Iowa Wild on Saturday, January 27th, and Cleveland’s “Pucks & Paws” game vs. the San Antonio Rampage on Sunday, April 8th. The Monsters’ 2017-18 television schedule also features six games on SportsTime Ohio spanning four months of the season, from December to March.

Returning for his third season as the radio and television play-by-play voice of the Monsters is veteran hockey broadcaster Tony Brown, while Cleveland Hockey Legend and Monsters Sr. Director of Hockey Affairs/Team Services Jock Callander will again provide color commentary on all 2017-18 TV broadcasts with longtime Northeast Ohio sports voice Kenny Roda serving as rink-side reporter.

The Monsters drop the puck on their 11th AHL season with “Opening Night” when they take on their Central Division rivals, the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, October 7th at 7:00 pm at Quicken Loans Arena. The first 10,000 fans through the gates will take home a Monsters magnet schedule with detachable car magnet, presented by University Hospitals Parma Medical Center.
