NEOSI was saddened earlier this evening by the news of the passing of Joseph Trivisonno, the father of current Mentor Cardinals football head coach Steve Trivisonno. The elder Trivisonno spent 25 years coaching at both Brush and Collinwood High Schools, both as a head coach and an assistant.
The Mentor Football Twitter account released this tweet on Tuesday, confirming his passing. Earlier this month, Mentor came within one win of capturing their first Division I state title in school history.
NEOSI would like to offer our most sincere condolences to the entire Trivisonno family.
The Mentor Cardinal family offer our sincere condolence and deepest sympathy to Coach Triv and his family on the recent loss of his father Joseph Trivisonno. May the outpouring of sympathy and knowing that your loss is felt by many, help you through time.https://t.co/vlJMsAGPwE
